Holiday Gift Guide: Beauty Must-Haves

We are approaching the end of November — and in just a few weeks, you and your loved ones will be gathering to exchange presents. Holiday gift shopping can be a time-consuming and challenging task. However, since our practice focuses on helping people look and feel their best, we took it upon ourselves to compile a holiday gift guide for beauty lovers. We have curated a list of luxurious beauty must-haves that any beauty aficionado should add to her stash.

Skincare

Very few beauty tools attract a loyal following like the Clarisonic face brush. While many beauty brands have tried to replicate its magic, Clarisonic is the ultimate skin cleanser and exfoliator. It reduces the size of pores, clears out blackheads and improves the overall texture of the facial skin. It is on the pricey side, which makes it a great gift for a sister, mom, aunt or close friend.

Hair

Moroccanoil® has earned a cult following for its unique formula packed with vitamins, antioxidants and other hair-friendly ingredients. Use the 100% argon oil treatment for conditioning, styling, hydrating or simply adding a subtle sheen to a finished look. It’s great for taming flyaways, treating split ends and keeping hair soft and manageable. You can find Moroccanoil® products at salons or spas in your area.

Makeup

Concealers are essential tools in any beauty arsenal — and they don’t make them better than the classic Clé de Peau Beauté stick. The high-end concealer evens out irregular pigmentation, doesn’t settle into fine lines and stays in place all day. A treat for any beauty lover, the concealer is quite worthy of a holiday splurge.

The combinations are endless with a palette of coordinating neutral eyeshadows. Create a dramatic or everyday look with collections from the Urban Decay Naked line (three options) or the LORAC Pro palettes (two options). Both lines are known for creamy, pigment-rich shadows that are versatile in color and finish.

Nails

Nail polish purchases tend to follow trends involving bright colors, wacky finishes and even textures. Nevertheless, every woman needs a classic nude and a classic red polish in her collection. Spoil your loved one with a high-end polish from the Tom Ford or Dior line. Or, for a quick and cheap stocking stuffer, Essie and OPI offer classic nudes and reds (and a host of other options!) and can be found at drugstores.

A Special Gift for a Special Occasion

Here’s another idea for beauty lovers: What about giving the gift of cosmetic enhancement? Tread carefully; gifting cosmetic enhancement — like Botox treatment, dermal filler injections or even breast augmentation — is a good idea only if the recipient has stated that she would enjoy and use it. Unsolicited suggestions for wrinkle treatment are generally not as well received.
