Armpit Incision

Breast Augmentation – Endoscopic (Minimal Incision)

Endoscopic (Minimal Incision) breast augmentation refers to the insertion of the implant through an axillary or armpit incision with the assistance of a camera, or endoscope.

In this operation the implant is always placed behind the muscle. Both saline and silicone gel implants can be placed through an axillary incision.

This surgical approach has the advantage of placing the scar off the breast. However, not all breast augmentation patients are candidates for this operation. You should also understand that it may be more difficult to revise the breast augmentation results if you are not satisfied with the implant size or if complications occur. Whether breast implant placement through the armpit is the best approach for you can be determined only during a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Eric Pugash.

To schedule your appointment, please call Dr. Pugash’s cosmetic surgery offices at (604) 522-5199. During your consultation, Dr. Pugash will explain your breast augmentation options, as well as tell you whether you might be a breast lift candidate. He can also discuss other cosmetic procedures that you may be interested in such as tummy tuck or a mommy makeover.
