Facial implants
Facial implants can enhance the chin and jaw line and improve facial proportions and overall appearance. This can usually be done in a way that will leave no obvious scars on the face. Facial implants can create remarkable changes by adding balance and definition to underdeveloped facial features.

Before and After SurgeryBefore and after chin augmentation.
|
Dr. Pugash carries out chin enhancement using an implant or the patient's own tissues. He will suggest the technique that is best for you.
The surgery may be done through an incision inside the mouth behind the lower lip, or an incision under the chin. The surgery is carried out on an outpatient basis.
Dr. Pugash may sometimes recommend chin augmentation to improve the results of nasal or other facial surgery when it is clear that this will improve facial balance. For example, a large nose may appear less prominent when a small chin is corrected at the same time as the nose. Individuals with small chins who request removal of loose skin or fat under the chin will obtain a better result when the chin is corrected as well.
Swelling and bruising may be visible around the chin and neck for a week or two. During that time you may experience difficulty smiling and talking. You will be given instructions about oral hygiene and diet after surgery.
The risks and complications of chin enhancement surgery include reactions to the anesthetic, infection, bleeding, numbness of the lower lip and chin, scarring, and an unsatisfactory aesthetic result.
Dr. Pugash will provide complete care following your surgery so you
remain comfortable, return quickly to all your usual activities, and
obtain the best possible result.
