This operation involves the removal of some of the breast skin, raising the level of the nipple and areola, and stitching together the breast to produce a lift. This operation results in much more scarring than breast augmentation. Depending on the breast the resulting scars may lie along the outside of the areola (‘donut’ lift), or take the form of a lollipop or anchor.
A breast lift may be combined with augmentation.
